A very warm welcome to the Schools PTA page, which is fondly known as FOBS (Friends of Belchamp School).
Who we are and what we do!
We are a group of parents, friends and teachers from the school. We help raise funds for the school by organising and hosting a range of activities and events. Which include Christmas Bazaars, Discos, Quiz nights, Easter Egg Hunts and hugely successful sponsored walks. Our last Walk, ‘The Easter Parade’ raised substantial funds towards the purchase of new ‘Projection’ equipment for the School hall, an extremely beneficial and much needed item.
Where the funds go…
The funds that are raised at these events goes towards new school equipment and trips. Some pretty fun stuff has been purchased in the past, which include – Lego, furniture for the ‘Learning Lodge’, Ipads, CD-Ipad listening centre, a yearly Theatre Production Bus stages a Christmas Pantomime for the Children to enjoy and even woolly socks for Forest School!
The heart of FOBS…
The work FOBS do is invaluable to the school and without our help and commitment lots of items mentioned simply would not have been possible to purchase.
Of course fund raising is a large part of what we do as a group, but it is also a great place to make new friends and feel very much part of the school. It is also a channel of communication between yourself and the school.
The small print…
We have around six meetings a year, which take place either at the school or in the village pub, The Half Moon.
If you would like to get involved in whichever way you can please come along to the next meeting or email us. We would be very happy to hear from you.
And lastly and most importantly…
We wish you and your children a very Happy time at Belchamp St Paul School.
